splits_thesky: (misc: look to the future now)

Merry Christmas, kidlets!! I'm so glad, now, and, really, all year, to know you guys and to be able to have awesome conversations with you all about awesome stuff, even if it all is only over the internets (though I did meet a whole bunch of you IRL this year!! Which was also awesome, obvz, and def a pattern I want to keep up).

Also, thank you so much to everyone who sent me a holiday card (so, uh, [livejournal.com profile] thefreshchuff, [livejournal.com profile] giventofly37, [livejournal.com profile] justspaz, and [livejournal.com profile] bohemu)!! They are all lovely, and rn being proudly displayed with all our other Christmas decorations (and then they'll go up to my room, and be displayed there!).

My biggest gift this year was probz tickets to Coldplay's summer tour next year, from my mom (which I was totally going to get her, because she loves them, but they were too expensive for me), but I also got a couple books (Flora's Dare, by Ysabeu S. Wilce, The Brief History of the Dead, by Kevin Brockmeier, and the first trade of Fables, which I am exciiiiiiited about, because I def need to pick up my comics reading again), Maroon 5's sophomore album (I still haven't decided whether I want their most recent one or not), and one of those reusable coffee mugs that looks like a paper Starbucks one or something, you know the ones?? ...also, I got, like, lotion and body wash and socks, but that's not as exciting. Oh, and a pair of boots, but I don't love them, though I do need a pair of tall brown boots, so I think I'm gonna go exchange them, or something. Oh, and Whale Rider! Which I've always sort of meant to see, because as far as I know, it's about: a, a girl being AWESOME, and b, WHALES, whiiiiich are both two of my favorite things. So.

Anyway, I hope you all are having a wonderful day, whether you celebrate or not!! <333333
splits_thesky: (pooh: just a spot of hunny)
HEY KIDS. Have a meme!

book meme! )

I probably left out a TON of books I've read/I love, but this was just sort of off the top of my head meme completion, soooo.

...idk, my internet presence has been kind of spotty these days (even on Tumblr! GASP, SHOCK AND HORROR, I know, right), but I miss LJ ~most of all~. So here is me, making an effort!

In rl news, I just sent out an internship application this morning (...yes, just one. LOOK, okay, it took me a MONTH to get this one together; the other ones are GOING TO HAVE TO WAIT)! WISH ME LUCK, OMG.

Also, my family from Seattle (brother, sister-in-law, two nephews) is coming to visit soon, for Thanksgiving! I AM SO PSYCHED, YOU GUYS - like, more than I thought I'd be, even. I mean, obviously I love them all, and love spending time with them, but, like...idk, you know, you just get a little sick of your family, after a while, and the babies are kind of a handful...
But idk, guys, I am SUPER PUMPED. I think it's probably because I've been busier at work, these days, and also, for the past week, my mom's been in India (for my cousin's wedding), so I've been holding down the fort, and IT IS TERRIBLE, EVERYONE NEEDS SOMETHING ALL THE TIME (lulz, Hufflepuff I am not). ...also, I miss my mommy. So I think I'm just really excited for, you know, relaxing at home, with everyone there - like, uh, these days I am mostly just talking to my pets...? - and then, also, like, we generally do exciting things with the kids, like hit up museums/the zoo/aquarium, or bake things, or do arts and craft-y projects, or...idk, fun, low-pressure stuff. Sooooo yeah.

Oh, and, speaking of things I'm excited for, the Quidditch World Cup is this weekend! SO PUMPED, OMG. [livejournal.com profile] bohemu and I went last year, too, and it was AMAZING AND EPIC, and this year promises to be even AMAZINGER AND EPICER (...shhhh). I've already got plans to go, both days, totally obnoxiously decked out in Gryffindor apparel (thaaaank you Pottermore, for VALIDATING MY LIFE \o/), and we are going to watch some awesome games, hear some awesome commentary (HOPEFULLY; the commentators from last year were hilarious, and we will die a little inside if they aren't back this time), listen to some awesome wizrock bands (there are a whoooole bunch playing, but Harry and the Potters have my heart forever), and, you know, probably have some awesome fun-time booze-times at some point.

OH, ALSO! I totally forgot to mention this before, BUT! About...a month ago, I guess?? I got my hair cut! I mean, like, CUT cut - it was around shoulder-length, before, and now it's pixie/boy short. I like it a lot! It's a LOT easier to manage (hello, super-thick, super-curly hair), and I can still do things with it (...well, I mean, less things than before, but still!), without feeling like I HAVE to (...because otherwise, before, it used to just be EATING MY FACE), etc, etc. Plus, now I look a lot cooler, imo.
I will try to remember to take some pictures to show you guys! I mean, I have some pictures of me, since I've had it cut, buuuut they're not great, for showing off my hair. So I will try to take some new ones (NOTE TO SELF: REMEMBER TO DO THIS)!

ummmmm, so yeah! NOW I AM GOING HOME (lulz, I'm currently at work. Not actually working, obviously! WOOPZ).

Hey kids!

So yeah, LJ is sort of falling by the wayside these days...?? But, like.....I miss it. I mean, I myself am not on as often as I used to be, now that I'm: a, actually doing more things IRL, and b, mostly taking in media that doesn't really have fandoms. But, guys - I miss the fandom-related flailing! I miss the memes! I even miss the wank! ....okay, I don't miss the wank that much. But yeah, overall, LJ, WHERE HAVE YOU GOOOOOOOONEEEEEEEEE. :((((

Uh, okay, so now more on what I have been doing!

First, RL. [livejournal.com profile] bohemu and I are going to Chicago for a couple days, in September! So all of you guys who've been to/live in Chicago, suggestion us up! I mean, we have a vague list of things we want to do, but we're always open to suggestions! Especially because neither of us have ever been, right, so we know jack all about the city.
Also, if you do live there, and want to meet up and hang for a bit, we would love that! Just let me know.

Okay, now fandom(-ish).

Number one, and probz most prevalent in my mind rn, I HAVE STARTED WATCHING HAWAII FIVE-0, AND I AM IN LOVE )

...okay. Number two!
So, like I've mentioned a couple times here recently, I've been reading up a storm, these days! And generally I've been going around in a Dresden Files/Temeraire/Discworld loop, but recently I wanted to take a little break from that. And, well, I'd been meaning to reread my copy of The Three Musketeers for a while, so, uh, that's what I'm doing?? )

Thing three, that actually should probz be part b of thing one:

So, uh, after continually feeling like I have a TON of shows I watch, all of which I have seasons upon seasons to catch up on for, I realized the other day, I only actively watch 6 shows, now )

So, uh, yeah, that's it, I guess?? FOR NOW~~

OH HAI, I'M NOT DEAD.

Actually, for once, my lack of posting wasn't caused by: a, me not being around the internets, or b, me not having anything to say.
The first because, well -- I'm here! I check the flist and Facebook every so often (ever since I cut a bunch of comms I was in from my flist, it moves a loooooooot slower), but mostly I've been pretty much living on Tumblr. Which, uh, by the way, I know I made a post about this before, but, seriously, if you have a Tumblr and we're not following each other, that needs to be rectified IMMEDIATELY.

As for the second point, well, okay. Aside from the normal "work a couple days, puppysit a couple days" routine I've had(/have) going on, the major thing going on in my life has been comic cons!! )

The other exciting thing happening in my life rn is, still, reading. I took a little (...well, a long, really) break from the Temeraire and Discworld series to get to Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell, which I'd actually been meaning to read for a while now. I'm still actually working on it (....it's 800 pages, right), but I'm pretty far in! And loving it, tbh - it's a bit of an undertaking, but I think, if you like fantasy books, and haven't read it already, you should def give it a shot; it's really well-written, and well-researched (...like, TREMENDOUSLY) and engaging and compelling and GR8.

Soooo yeah. When I finish that, finally, I'm going to go back to alternating Temeraire and Discworld books, I think, buuuut I might also throw into the mix some of The Dresden Files series. ....HERE IS THE STORY ABOUT THAT: I always vaguely knew of the series/show, but I didn't actually have much idea of what it was about, uuuuntil today when I went searching for random fic on An Archive of Our Own (which, btw, if I haven't mentioned it, is AWESOME and I LOVE IT), found a couple of amazing, scorchingly hot, slashy fics, and then was like, "....if this is what the books are like, I'm SO IN" (aaaaaand ONCE AGAIN, sucked into a fandom with the promise of slash. :3 ).
I just watched the 2-hour, unaired pilot of the TV series, as sort of an introduction, and also to double-check that this was a thing I was interested in, and - well - I'm interested.
So, yes, HARRY DRESDEN, WELCOME TO THE READING CIRCLE, I guess.

....soooooo yeah, that's about it; my life's just been very, "Work! Pets! Con stuff [sewing/crafting, planning, attending]! Reading!", lately. ...SO NOW YOU KNOW.

...also, like, when did it get to be JUNE, you guys, what is THAT. :/

.........OH MY GOD, YOU GUYS, I AM ABOUT TO HAVE A BREAKDOWN.

Okay, SO, I heard of these books, right, the Temeraire series, by Naomi Novik, and how they were about DRAGONS IN THE NAPOLEONIC WARS, basically, and, well, those are two of my favorite things (...uh, dragons and history, that is. Oh, and stories about wars, NUMBER THREE), sooooo I picked up the first book, His Majesty's Dragon a while back, aaaaand somewhere in between starting that and finishing the second book, Throne of Jade, last night (I mean, I also read some things in between, but), this series became a FULL-BLOWN OBSESSION.

Like, GUYS! THERE ARE DRAGONS AS THE AERIAL DIVISION OF THE ARMED FORCES, and characters you will FALL IN LOVE WITH WITH ALL YOUR HEART (granbyyyyy forever granbyyyy<33333333) and AWESOME ACTION SCENES and witty dialogue, and, just, SERIOUSLY, Y'ALL, I SPENT THE LARGE MAJORITY OF THRONE OF JADE KICKING MY FEET IN GLEE.

Soooooo yeah, this is supposed to be a pimp post...?? And I know you guys are all super busy these days with school and/or work and all, but COME ON, WHO DOESN'T LOVE AWESOME BOOKS. And dragons!!!

HERE ARE SOME MORE HOPEFULLY PERSUADING THINGS (the fandom is tiiiiiny, but, uh, here is everything related I have ever mem'd...??):

ARTS:
http://dorkorific.livejournal.com/74422.html
http://dorkorific.livejournal.com/74708.html

http://novembersmith.livejournal.com/21353.html
http://softlyforgotten.livejournal.com/170373.html

GODDDDDD IDK IDK MOST OF THOSE WON'T EVEN MAKE SENSE WITHOUT YOU HAVING READ ANY OF THESE BOOKS, BUUUUUUUT WHATEVER, I COULD NOT CONTAIN MYSELF TO JUST POSTING RANDOM FLAILING ABOUT THIS ON TUMBLR, SO HEEEEERE YOU GO (...I'm totally supposed to be reading Equal Rites rn, because the schedule I'd set myself to was one Temeraire book, one Discworld book, one Temeraire book, etc, etc. Buuuuuut there's no Rincewind in this book [dude, how much I love Rincewind and the Discworld and THE LUGGAGE<33 is going to have to be it's own flaily post], and so it's just been sitting next to me as I flail about other books. WOOPZ).

....plus, like, IF YOU READ, I can blather to you about how Garrett Hedlund is totally my Laurence, and Henry Cavill is my Granby, Gemma Arterton my Harcourt, Daniel Henney my Tharkay even though I haven't actually gotten to him yet, ETC, ETC (Romola Garai is girl!Laurence! Hayley Atwell is girl!Granby! Toby Stephens is tentatively Riley!). PRETTY PEOPLE BEING AWESOME, COME ON.
splits_thesky: (celebs: come by it honestly i swear)
I have about a million other things to talk about, but THIS GOES FIRST:

[Poll #1677922]

....there's not really any particular REASON for this, it was mostly just born out of my obsessing over a book before the library even got it to me (His Majesty's Dragon, by Naomi Novik), and the ridic conversations I have with [livejournal.com profile] boheme06, and...idk, I'm curious?? IMAGINE YOUR DRAGONS FOR ME, PEOPLE!!

That's...it for now, I guess?? I mean, MORE TO COME, but for now I am off to read and (eventually!) watch Puppy Bowl (yeaahhhh, my interest in sports is...almost nonexistent)! PUPPIESSSSSSSSSSSS~

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Hope you all are having a wonderful holiday, and for those of you who don't celebrate, a wonderful day nonetheless!!

Since the rest of the family isn't getting here until tomorrow morning, we only got through half our gifts and such today, which means I don't have exciting reports of my haul to share with you. But I did open a couple of books I really wanted: Middlesex and My Family and Other Animals (which I actually saw, first, last winter break while I was working my way through Everything With Matthew Goode In It, Ever.)

But anyway, warm wishes to you all, and I hope you have a great day, whatever you're up to!!<33333
splits_thesky: (misc: &big big city nights)
Oh hay, I'm back, btw!!

San Francisco was awesome and baby-filled! I spent the large majority of my week helping supervise the nephews, but we also went out to a bunch of cool places, like the totally AWESOME newly-opened museum, and the beach, which was GORGEOUS. Actually, I have some beach pictures I was going to share with y'all, but those'll probably come in a different entry. But they're pretty pretty, if I do say so myself!!

Anyway, so what have you guys been up to?? I read my flist a little bit, but there's no way I can catch up on an entire week's worth of entries. So def let me know what I missed! Or even if nothing super-exciting happened to you, how are you, lovelies?? Good, I hope!

Also, I've been randomly realizing things I miss horribly, but for some reason didn't even realize until now. Like summer - I mean, I love fall and winter and snow and all, but I can't wait for, y'know, flowers, and sunny days and being able to wear pretty skirts and all (the seasons tend to be juuust as long as I need them to be. Like, watch, come August I'll be going on about how much I want crisp leaves and cool breezes and being able to wear boots and jackets and layers). Also, I missed my house something awful (sounds weird, but I've been at my apartment in Philly, and then I was on the west coast last week, right), which I totally didn't realize until a series of random events translated into my staying at home this week (& commuting to school). I totally just sat around and watched Disney Channel this evening, it was glorious (that's the other thing, I miss TV, you guys. I mean, I can download or stream things in my apartment, but it's not quiiite the same as sitting down and watching, with commercials and the ability to channel surf and the inevitability of watching completely RIDICULOUS programming).

Oh, also, I did indeed take Watchmen with me, and managed to finish it in SF! Haven't seen the movie yet, so I'm avoiding all your reviews for now (and everything else, actually - I just never got around to watching the preview when it first came out, and so now it's turned into me actually making an active effort to avoid commercials and all, so it can all be fresh and new for me). But I, hopefully, will be able to make a trek to see it this weekend! EXCITEDFACE. :D

Anyway, so yes, what's going on with you all?? Oh, and happy early St. Patrick's Day, guys!! ♥♥
splits_thesky: (misc: this car smells weird.)
Oh man, you guys. Half the time when I'm being a loser and living online, refreshing my flist every 5 minutes, no one updates. But as soon as I leave you guys alone, my flist EXPLODES. Srsly, I haven't checked my flist since Monday evening, and, like, everyone updated 500 times. You guys are like the dolls in A Little Princess, I love it. :DDDDD

The reason I was gone was because of a book. )

So, yeah. READ THIS BOOK!!!! I started at midnight last night, and have been reading practically nonstop ever since. A lot of the time I have to force myself to sleep or eat or something, because I just want to read forever.

...Oh, but I also took a break tonight to go see National Treasure: Book of Secrets. All I have to say about THAT is, SDIFUHAIDUKHSAFIUJHDF RILEY POOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLEEEEE OMGGGG<33333333333333333333333333333

Sooooo, yeah. TIME FOR MORE READING!!!!! \o/

Thank you, everyone who voted in my "Help Name my New iPod" poll! I appreciate your input, however, good advice though it may be, I am choosing to completely disregard it in naming my iPod something completely different. So yes, my iPod's name is now Jefferson Steelflex. It's from Drake&Josh, and I thought of it this morning in a way that I was going to relate to you all, but have decided it's not really THAT interesting. Which it's not, you're not missing out.
But what I will share with you is this... )

RELATED TO NOTHING!! Would you guys say it's worth it to go to the midnight release of HP7?? I wanted to go, since I've never been to one, but I have this terrible, horrible fear of someone completely spoiling the book for me. So...what do you guys think??

Also, my Harry Potter Hiatus from LJ begins now. I didn't really want to do this, but I know people are already getting spoiled left and right, so it seems I have no choice. I'll still check comments (which, as soon as I post this, are going friends-only), and I might read some of your journals individually, but there's no way I'm reading my flist anymore. So um, see you on the flip side!! ♥♥
splits_thesky: (pd: you saw me when i was invisible)
I was going to post about how I got locked out of my dorm room for 9 hours Thursday night/Friday morning, cutting me off from all the stuff I needed to study for my final Friday morning at 8, or how while moving back home Friday afternoon I managed to gather multiple bruises and blisters, or how last night I forgot to take Fab out of my sweatshirt pocket before my mom threw it in the wash, and now Fab is unresponsive and possibly dead, or how I still have a final on Monday (in math, too, gross), and thus have been studying all day.

But instead, I would just like to say that I don't care how much of a 12 year old girl it makes me, I LOVE The Princess Diaries, both the movies and the books.
I can't remember if I read the books first or saw the movie first, all I remember is that I ended up seeing both the movies in theaters. But anyway.

The books are FABULOUS, and certainly not as G-rated as the movies, which I think people might not know. I mean, they're not scandalous or anything, but. I think the main reason I adore the books so much is because Mia and I are totally the same person. Well, minus the princess bit. She's dorky and unpopular and awkward, and the way she writes is pretty much exactly the way I think. There's an excerpt from the first book here, if you haven't read it (WHICH YOU SHOULD). I don't even know how to describe it (I keep typing out explanations and then deleting them, rofl), but, just, I CAN TOTALLY RELATE. Even without being a princess, because she's so, SO much more "average girl" than she is princess-y. So yeah, I love her, I love her family and teachers and her cat (who is JUST LIKE MINE, except mine doesn't eat socks), and her friends, and MICHAEL OH MY GOD MICHAEL.

Okay, I have to start a new paragraph for Michael. Michael Moscovitz is my literary boyfriend, you guys. Seriously, he is SO DREAMY. He's smart, and hot, and musical, and appropriately geeky, and - and - DREAMY. I don't even know what else to call it, he is a DREAMY DREAMBOAT OF - dreams?? Uhh, sure.
AND! In the movies, he's played by Robert Schwartzman/Carmine, who is also dreamy (He sings and plays guitar in Rooney! He prefers staying at home and watching movies and eating ice cream to going out and partying! He doesn't like people who do drugs! He likes girls who aren't afraid to say something stupid or knock over objects!). And, might I add, very good at looking longing and full of unrequited love, which I am a HUGE, HUGE sucker for. Shut up, all of you.

Mini Robert-as-Michael picspam!! )

Anyway, the movie's a lot different than the book ( there's a list of differences here), but is still wonderful in its own right. I mean, it's not that great of a film, not going to win any awards or anything, but it is so fabulously cheesy and charming you can't help but love it. Plus, MICHAEL. Also, I have a couple of friends I still have regular sleepovers with, and it's one of the few movies we watch almost every single time (the other movies are Elf and Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights, haha). It's like a cult classic, only, you know, not.

...I feel like there was more fangirly gushing I had to do about this, but I don't quite know what, so I think I'll just leave this here. I am off to watch The Princess Diaries sleep study for math, ugh. Wish me luck??
splits_thesky: (narnia: EDMUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUND)
You guys, Narnia is eating my brain. Orrr maybe I'm eating Narnia. There's a mutual eating??
...I haven't quite figured it out yet, but it's something along those lines. There is ME, and NARNIA, and EATING, and HUNGER ALL THE TIME HUNGER.

IIIII have seen the movie five times in the past three days, y'all. I haven't watched a movie EVERY SINGLE DAY like this since That Thing You Do!, and even there I stopped after about three viewings (although pretty much only because my mom was all, "OMG YOU WEIRDO STOP OBSESSING", and made me return it to Blockbuster). And whenever I'm NOT watching it, I'm thinking about it, or just going, "OMG I HAVE TO GO WATCH NARNIA AGAIN NOW KBYE"
I made my parents watch it with me this evening, and then got all irritated when they weren't as completely blown away by it as I was. My mom did come talk to me later about how much she liked Aslan and the beavers, though (and how scary Jadis was, rofl).

I don't even know, you guys. But tomorrow, I'm going to go to the library and get the whole series (except The Magician's Nephew, I own that), and then just reaaaaaaaaad.
I'm in the middle of The Gun Seller right now, but it's a little hard to focus on that when my brain keeps yelling Narnia-related things at me. It is a good book, though!! PROPZ, HUGH LAURIE, PROPZZZZZZ.

Speaking of Narnia-related things, random pictures I like, for one reason or another. Not enough to be called a picspam, though. )

Okay, and, I love these kids. *dies*

ETA: [livejournal.com profile] lokiie: I HAVE THE BOOKS AND ROFL OMFG THEY ARE SO WORN OUT FROM BEING READ SO MANY TIMES. BUT AUGH. LOVE NARNIA.
[livejournal.com profile] splits_thesky: I JUST HAVE THE MAGICIANS NEPHEW, BUT IIIIIIIIIT'S PRETTY BEAT UP. BUT BEAT UP WITH LOVE!!
[livejournal.com profile] lokiie: OH GOD I SHOULD START READING THEM AGAIN. I HAVEN'T IN A LONG WHILE.
[livejournal.com profile] splits_thesky: YOU SHOULD!!!!!!! I AM TREKKING TO THE LIBRARY TOMORROW TO GET ALL THE REST, SO I CAN REREAD THEM. YOU KNOW, I THINK EVERYONE SHOULD! CAN WE DECLARE JANUARY NARNIA MONTH, WOULD THAT WORK??
[livejournal.com profile] lokiie: OH AWESOME. JANUARY SHOULD TOTALLY BE NARNIA MONTH BECAUSE IT IS ALL WINTER THAT EVENTUALLY GIVES WAY INTO SPRING AND OMG MY METAPHORS ARE RIDICULOUS BUT JANUARY = NARNIA MONTH TOTALLY.
[livejournal.com profile] splits_thesky: OH, DUDE, I DIDN'T EVEN THINK OF THAT!!!!! THAT IS GEEEEEEEENIUS. I AM TOTALLY EDITING THAT INTO MY POST NOW, OKAY.

Also, I was rewatching Narnia a while back (with the cast commentary on, but still), and when it ended, I seriously got so depressed. At first I thought it was just that I was bored, but then, okay, it struck me. )

ETA: Oh my God, did any of you watch Zoom when you were little?? :(((((((((((((((

ETA v.2: Okay, so I was going to sleep. But then, while brushing my teeth, I had the sudden urge to write. Just - something, anything. So I sat down with a pen and one of my gazillion notebooks, and just basically wrote what randomly popped into my brain. Um, this was the result. )

And that, my friends, is why I am not a writer. Or a comedian.
splits_thesky: (efc: hay kazul)
-My plaid, button-down shirt is my favorite shirt ever. I would wear it every day, but my mom would get mad at me. Plus it would start to smell.

-Today I bought this shirt from Target. I love it. I love Target.

-I don't think I told y'all this, but my brother and his wife are going to have a baby boy in January (well, she's going to actually have it, duh, but you know what I mean). He's going to grow up to be an awesome kid, I'm gonna make sure of that.

-I hate being sick. Yay for Nyquil and Dayquil, that's all I can say.

-Yesterday I actually sat down and read a whole book, for the first time in forever. I mean, like, I read part of Melusine, but it's been forever since I actually read a whole book, from cover to cover. The book I read was So You Want To Be A Wizard, by Diane Duane. It's been sitting in my bookshelf here at home forever, but I only read part of it a few years ago and then decided it was too confusing. But you know, it's really not, it's actually really good! And, apparently the start of a whole series, so yay! Plus it has a dragon in it. I love dragons. *points to icon*

-I suck at being a good LJ friend right now, I know. SORRY, YOU GUYS!! I still love you all, and I'll try to shape up and start leaving comments and such again.

-I also suck at being online, SORRY DEZ. :(((((((((

-I have to go back to college tomorrow! I don't waaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. *pout*

-I'm in the middle of watching the episode of ER that JPad was in, and really, I don't know if I can take this anymore. See, baby!Jared is hurt!! And when baby!Jared is hurt, I am hurt. Well, my heart hurts. SHUT UP, IT TOTALLY MAKES SENSE. Anyway, moral of the story is: DO NOT ALLOW JAYRED TO GET HURT, OR I WILL CRY. A LOT.

-I just started using Firefox a couple days ago (because IE made me upgrade to some new, confusing version, so I rebelled! I'm so badass, I know.), and it keeps spellchecking everything I type. INCLUDING comments, and this entry. So, Firefox people, how do I make it stop?? Plz.

[music| Cute is What We Aim For - There's a Class for This]

Can I just say, Melusine has GOT to be the gayest book I have ever read. It's FABULOUS.
I read, like, the first five pages, and then had to stop and restrain myself from flailing around and shrieking (because I don't think my roommate would have appreciated that so much). And then after that, the whole time I was reading, I had the biggest grin on my face.
It's like a fanfic, but in a book. And GAY GAY GAY SO GAY. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
